Hey y'all
I have a few questions on my Willy cj2a fuel system. I just had the carburetor rebuilt by a local mechanic and wanted to figure out if anyone has had the same issues that I am having    I just have the carburetor rebuilt by a local mechanic in my area I bought a rebuild kit from Ron Fit Patrick. What my concern is is once you start the jeep fuel seems to be spilling out of every orifice of the carburetor the guy who rebuilt the carburetor said there might be some debris inside of the fuel so I installed a fuel filter right before the carburetor but it still seems to be happening. If you guys have any information or have had this happen to you in the past any infill would be great.
Also this carburetor was the original carburetor that came with the jeep when I purchased it it is a card or WO single barrel carburetor but I am missing the choke cable linkage that hooks onto the carburetor if anybody knows where I can find the linkage that would be great thanks again for any information

Sounds like the float is stuck, try tapping on the body of the carb with the handle of a screw driver. Which can some times unstick the float. If it still floods pull the top off the carb, check float adjustment, also remove float and make sure it's not full of gas. Had this problem on my 3B while back.
Did you in stall the filter before running it? If not it may have sucked junk into the carb and be sticking the needle valve.
If it got junk in it pull the carb off take it apart clean it ,check float adjustment.
Good luck

It is NOT a Jeep Willys! It is a Willys jeep.
