Doesn't look as bad as mine, but your tub may be worse off. I agree with Hillbilly, that's fixable with enough TLC and elbow grease! That would be the hydrolic plow pump. It was used to plow snow for a machine shop for 40+ years. THe last time it was street registered was 1968. I dont think you will be able to tell the year with out a serial number. unless it is an early one without the rear panels.

I have one that uses the old GM "double" master cylinder that incorporates the clutch in it. Useable, but could use some work. It's yours for the price of shipping. USPS flat rate box with delivery confirmation & insurance for $100, IIRC, $15.00. Christmas morning my son sat on our digital camera and jammed the lense, and it will not focus now. It may be a while before I can take a digital picture.

That is a dowel for the main bearings.

You can have them made or buy one from Turner 4WD (www.thejeep.com)

Or else you can get some from an old scrap engine. They don't generally wear out, they just go missing.

Sorta like socks in the dryer....

We probably won't run you off, but, if you have a 2A, you should be able to find a tag riveted to the front frame horn just behind the front bumper with a serial number beginning with "CJ-2A". 2As also have the same number on two different tags screwed to the engine compartment side of the firewall just outside the air cleaner.

I do not know if the 3A continued this kind of identification, but Bob W. or one of the other 3A folks that hang out here will surely know.
