I have three to show. I have parts No.s but don't know which ones they go to...I hope someone will come to the call here. If you got better pics please show them as these are just to open the page.
This first one is the Donaldson, it's the standard one for late 2a's 3a's
The two are Oaks filters, they were standard on the MB/GPW and earlier 2a's. notice the embossed instructions on the painted one (two louvers) and the unrestored one in the background that had a instruction sticker (long gone) this air cleaner has three louvers.
The 1st pic is the Donaldson, For the later Jeeps. The others are Oaks. I don't know when they went from the embossed to the adhesive label instructions. A little help here? Edited by GaryArf - 13 June 2008 at 5:12pm |

The Oakes w/stamped instructions were first to be used. Oakes model #613300.
Later came Donaldson & Oakes w/out stamped instructions. Manuals aren't clear about when these were used. #16279 has Oakes w/stamped instructions. Sean |

I have a picture of every 4 cyl airfilter made for the jeep and what they go to, approximately. I'm talking WWll, M38, M38A1, CJ2A, 3A, 3B, CJ5 I don't know if Sean wants to have the info.
There were 4 WWll variants, not including the prototypes, one for the M38, one for the M38A1, three for the 2A two for the 3A and two for the 3B/CJ5'CJ6 Edited by Oakes - 22 Nov. 2006 at 6:16pm |

Sam/Gary...is that red one in the background of the Oakes, a 'Bazooka' air filter?
