Got invited by the local Jeep club to go on a run today. It was a Back The Blue run in honor of Police. It was great to be a part of it not only having the oldest and only CJ2A there but also being a Law Enforcement Officer for over the last 21 years myself. There were 65 jeeps in attendance and it was escorted by the State Police in a big loop through out the county with no stops for lights or signs just a huge jeep caravan. It was a nice time.
This is the decal they had made up for it.

I'm glad you participated and honored the boys in blue ( I'm a firefighter myself).
I hate to be a grouch, but this is a peeve of mine - your flag should be on the right side, and in my opinion, should not be on the rear of the vehicle. There is no "law" as to how the flag should be displayed, but there are generally agreed to "guidelines" that are used. None of them address the flag being flown on the rear, in fact they acknowledge that it will be flown on the back of a motorcycle, but I believe the flag should travel in advance of any vehicle or party carrying it. It is recognized that the American Flag be flown on its own right at all times.
What really ticks me off is when I see guys flying the flag from a stake pocket of their pickup at 75 mph, and letting the wind shred it.    BW
It is NOT a Jeep Willys! It is a Willys jeep.

Happy Trails! Good-bye, Good Luck, and May the Good Lord Take a Likin' to You!

If you will note, those aren't American flags being flown...they are black and white stripes and black stars with one blue stripe below the star field. Such a flag isn't covered by USC 5 (Flag Code).

Most people don't know (or maybe don't even care) that there is a Flag Code. There are no penalties for not following the Flag Code. Fortunately most people have respect for the American Flag...some don't. The best you can do is educate and hope it takes...

Hey Bruce, nice job on the ride and being the only 2a in the group. I love the green with yellow, on the 2a. What size are the tires and can you get any of those decals? I would love to get a couple if you could and I would cover the cost. Entering my 28th year and NOT planning on making 30. Just doesn't make sense anymore. Looking at an out this coming year with 28 done. Anyways, to all my brothers and yes fire fighters as well, great job. I'm hoping to travel around when I retire and make a lot of events, I miss while working.

I only bought 3 decals and they sold out quick the day of the ride and it was a one time deal. He didnt think there would be that big of a demand for them but luckly i got there early. I had one prior to the run as a co-worker got it for me incase I would not have been able to go on the run. He sold out of decals and shirts after the first 30 jeepers showed up and even had per-orders as well. I mailed one out to Whisky Pete and I will be willing to let you have the last one i have just PM me your address and I will get it to you. Thanks Scott

Just retired myself with 21 1/2 years with the Clarksburg Police Department and started a job as a Court Security Officer with the U.S. Marshal Service. I am mailing your decal out to you on Monday as soon as I get to work seeing as the post office is located in the same building.

Congratulations on your retirement. Feels great not to have all the stress of the job hanging over you dosent it. I was watching police videos on line the other day and the felony tones went off and i started bolting toward the door till it hit me I dont have to do that anymore Ha ha ha.

Scott thanks again and hope to send out a return package soon. Your kindness was much appreciated. If I get to that retirement this year and my 47 is completed by then, I may go on a visit to that run this coming year.
