Ok, so I wanted to mount an antenna on my jeep for my CB to give it a little more nostalgic look.. Not wanting to mount to the drawbar, or drill ANY holes in the body, I decided to fabricate a custom mounting bracket. Now I wanted it to look "factory" or at least as if it was meant to be there, so i chose to design my mount to attach to the spare tire carrier. As the pics show, I matched the angle of the spare tire bracket, then came up between the body and the spare tire with my newly fabricated mount. I had to drill only one 1/4'' hole in the body of my jeep in order to eliminate the sway in my bracket. All in all I think it turned out pretty good, and have had several comments as to where i purchased it! |

to many jeeps, parts, and accessories to list here, but apparently enough to keep me in trouble with my wife. |

I'll second that! Looks similar in design to military styled antenna mounts I've come across over my USAF career.
