Keep hearing the term and seen some pictures. Guys refer to their “Lefty” but many are not really sure of what makes it a “Lefty”. I have done topic, connect and even specific advanced searches within the “Research & History” area without finding a specific description or definition, so how bout enlightening and educating us with specific detail and photos, for the record books.

The tops bow racks (brackets) were on the right side but did all lefties have them?

Don’t know why I didn’t see this when I did my search - but that is a ton of history!
Thanks for the thread Tim, and the others for their response.

All in all it's not that big a deal but it is unique and it is very limited considering all of the 2As produced over the years. WO had to only re-tool slightly to effect this change. By mounting the spare on the other side they merely flipped the reinforcement brackets to the drivers side. Think about it....they just rotated upside down. No retooling there. The "Retooling" came with the top bow brackets because you couldn't just flip them you had to "mirror" them which required what ever machine stamping those out to have a new die installed. Going back was probably easy since the original die was probably lying in the corner where they left it 3 months prior..........thats how I get my head around this.Smile
