Typing on my Mac, with the cursor where I want the symbol, I choose 'Edit' from the menu bar, scroll down to 'Special Characters', and click on the 'º' symbol. Should be something similar on a MSDOS system.

On a PC, type just what I posted. Hold the ALT key down while typing the numbers 2 4 8. It only works on the number pad though and not the numbers above the letters.
I don't know how to do it on my iPad. |

In fact if you look at an ASCII chart you can find the number for any letters and symbols.

On my Thrive there is a MORE button for that.

Interesting that it is keypad only...explains why I could not get to work on my laptop last night
Its 24°F here right now Alt 0176 does the same thing

Well finally got my curisoty up.
Did a search and found this ° on my IPhone. Hold down the 0 after the 9 and a little blue box pops up giving you a choice between between....° or 0....depending on how you slide your finger |
