I just picked up my first Jeep and it is a little fire truck. The Frame and drive train are Willy's but the body seams to be custom made. I am looking for any information about this thing, especially interested in who built it and if there are any others out there. I bought it off of an online estate auction and no one knew anything about it.

I am having trouble uploading pictures. I keep getting  500 internal server error... Here is a link to a post I put on the facebook fire Jeep forum but no one could tell me much about it. The serial number on the engine is 2T16505 if I remember correctly.

I couldn't get the link to work and the Engine serial will not be the same as the vehicle serial number.

If you copy the link and past it in your browser it should work. There is no data plate that I can find in it only the number stamped in the block above the water pump.

Search this Forum.  I believe there was a guy from England who had a fire jeep.

Certainly appears to be a 1950's CJ frame but the engine number suggests a truck.
I'd guess a one of a kind contraption custom made.

The only badge I can find is The gearshift pattern plaque that would have come with the Jeep. What year would the engine number be? And what does the prefix stand for? Thanks for all the replies so far.

2T16505...

I believe the 2T would have been in a 2 wheel drive Truck.  Not sure how to date the serial on a Willys truck engine.

Length wise, it looks like a Willys Jeep frame.  If the chassis is a Willys Jeep, then the engine is probably not original to the rig.

No matter what it is, it's very cool!

Does this rig have a pto Operated pump? If not

It very possible its a "Shriners" type vehicle made for parades and is a one off unit.

Interesting, I was going to post that there was a like vehicle near my home, at the Almelund threshing show, after looking at the pictures that is the vehicle . Years ago I looked it over and believe it to be factory made, I cannot remember but I think it was built on a 3A chassis, I do not recall a manufacturers tag on it!..... Have fun with it!.
