I have been reading ewillys alot lately and see many toys out west for sale that could use a good hand and a small wallet, that in itself could be fun.
Keep us posted.
Thanks for your service LT.

[QUOTE=rrivera1833]MJS -- Are you talking about the front or back seats?
[/QUOTES]
Sorry, I reread that and it doesnt make much sense. I am wondering how you constructed your front seat, seat backs. The top part of your front seats. Did you just box end sew the bottom of it and the back is open to the seat frame and held in place by the "screw tabs", or is it tottaly encase in the fabric and held in place by the screw tabs Edited by mjs408 - 14 May 2011 at 7:04pm |

I know this post is a little old, but how do you the back? I look at my seats, and their isnt away to connect the bottom to the seat frame, so do you sew the fabric around the seat back foam, like a boat cushion, and then sew the wings on for an attachment point?

--After finishing the top cushion, I predrilled some holes through the back and floor of the seat frame with a few extra in the bottom for drainage (should have done this before I painted it with por15)
Then I screwed through the back and floor to secure the seats to the frame Cut some rubber to slide the front pegs into (should keep them from rattling) Installed |

Harriet -- My pleasure
Rob - I didn't like my best top either, and couldn't see spending all that $ on one made out of canvas that may not even be water proof. The sunbrella material cost me just under $90 for enough to do the top as well as the front and back seat cushions. I just picked up another roll for the top of the bantam. And this stuff is easy to sew and crazy water proof and sun resistant. |
