Thanks everyone that responded to my req.
If I buy the jeep, it will be used to cruise around the desert here in
Barstow, CA. I also own a 1950 Willys Jeepster.

Yes - Like Mike said, that's an F-head motor (not original). Also - looks like the radiator cap is missing - no telling what's created a nest in there.

The hood's been modified to accommodate that f-head air filter. Bubba put in a roll-bar. There is a modification on the dash that I can't quite identify (possibly a bubba made hand-brake??).

Can't tell how much rust but looks present. Looks like most of the parts are there (original or not). I would concur with Mike - $500 would be my high-end. Might try $350 or thereabouts and see if he bites.

What are you planning to do with it?

It has no other mods. $500 is about what I was thinking.

That's an "F" head engine and not the one that belongs in that Jeep. Does it have other mods?

I vote for a $500 price tag at most.

Agreed w/ Gary - need pics. Also need to identify what's missing (if anything); what mods have been done; etc.

Welcome!

Don,
Do a search here for how to post pics, We can't help without some guage of your '49 2A prospect.
That said, the '49 2A is a rare bird...Your location in CA would say your body is to be in great shape compaired to a guy in the North east with a rusted out basket case...(need pics)
OH, WELCOME to the CJ2A Page!!
Without pics your Jeep prospect is in the in the $500 to $1000 range.

I am looking at a 1949 CJ2A Jeep which the owner wants to sell but has no idea on price, and I don't either. I have tryed to attach some photos of it, but my photos are too big (over 300MB) It is in bad condition, has the 134 4 cyl. engine (unk. if it will run), needs body work inside and out. Can anyone give me a ball park price on this jeep ?

Thank you for any help, Don V.
