When you finally get your pto setup from control shift to gearbox & possibly a drum attachment what do you do with it? I know I'm not gonna be satisfied till I have something useful running off the pto. Original implements are extremely hard to find. With that said,...did anyone here fabricate something useful powered by their pto. The ice cream maker is cool,..but not a tool. Al |

Hook a generator up to your PTO and make some electricity.
It might come in handy during a power outage.

It's not PTO driven, but I use the Jeep to pull a home made 5' roller (about 700 lbs) over our gravel road after grading it with the tractor. The cushy seat and shade from the top are nice luxuries compared to the metal tractor seat!

Would a trailer be a useful tool?

The article at that link puts the load capacity of the trailer at one ton. Somebody was trying to learn the trailer capacity in another thread.

There are lots of old belt driven farm impliments around. Corn shellers, cord grinders, buzz saws to name a few. I have a buzz saw that is scary standing still.

I knew I was not crazy...I saw one of those years ago, but can't recall where. I've told people about but they think I'm nuts...which I am, but not for that reason!

If you really want to run something useful off your PTO, I have a 7' flail mower that I cut my grass with. Your more than welcome to hook it up to your jeep and pull it around my yard any time the mood strikes you.
