Here's a short video shot this spring when the wild plums were in bloom. First attempt at posting a video.

Thanks Al.

Did the sound work for you? Can't figure out how to post the video directly as some have done. My computer is on its last legs and have hinted at what a good Christmas gift would be for me.

Funny you should refer to roads,  My Civil Engineering degree is finally paying dividends. These are some of the trails I've hacked through our timber over the years. Its alot of work keeping them open. Nature is persistant in trying to reclaim them. Keeps me busy. Most are used for fishing access and wood cutting.  The bonus is a great place to exercise the 2As. That is the Westfork of the Cedar River and yes the fishing is great for a small tree clogged river. Catfish, Smallmouth Bass, Walleye, and Northern Pike along with Carp, Suckers and bullheads. Just last week I finally landed a Northern thats eluded me for over a month. Twelve pounder! What a blast fighting that fish through all the snags and logs in the hole. Gary Arfstrom had taught me how to cut the "Y" bones out of the Northerns when we were up to his resort last summer and I used his method in fileting this monster. Big boneless filets of flakey white meat. Mmmmm.

Allen,

Yes, that is a nice looking place to roam around in your Jeeps as well as a pleasant video.  Clap

To place the video directly in a post, you have to upload it to YouTube and then use the BBcodes  ["TUBE"]File Name [/TUBE] in the message (without the " in the ["TUBE"] ).  You can also do a similar thing with an Adobe Flash video, but, for that, the video file will be one that ends in .swf .

Edit:  Yes, the sound works.

Allen,
The video worked good on my end. I'm surprized you remembered how that "Y" bone was situated and remembered how to remove it. It took me 5 times (to have my mentor to show me again) to conquer the technique. The Northern pike is the BEST tasting fish in the north country IF you know how to get the "Y" bone out. WALLEYE, is a close second.

I was looking at that  video and was waiting to see if you were heading to my place that I have for hunting deer.  It is almost identical right to the wood choping.  We come into the gate beside a big pond drive thru the trees and come to the y's in the road and end up at the river that we cross to be on my property  There is catfish there in the river other fish too but catfish is what most want.  Usually the bald  eagle  sit at the top of a tall tree waiting for the catfish to come into the shallows.
