I searched the forum and couldn't find any conversations about leather gas pedal boots.  This boot is hard as a rock.  It's clearly been on the Willys for some time.  I'm curious if this might be original?

I am under the impression that the leather boots were wartime replacements for the rubber boots because of rubber shortages and that some of the early 2A's came with holdover boots from war production.

Ron Fritzpatric over on the G503 has the early style leather gas pedal and shifter boots.  I believe they are OD green.

FWIW, here are the entries from Sean's online Parts List

A-3782SEAL, floor, accelerator treadle rod, assembly
16439212,3
643921SEAL, floor, accelerator treadle rod, assembly
16460732,3

You can see that the earliest seal was carried over from the MB (A-3782) and was eventually superseded by a later part.  There is no information about the material used in the later part, but it is fair to assume that the A-3782 part was leather as in the MB.  Since the part was omitted from the 1945 Parts List and there is no serial number indicating when the new part was introduced, we are left to speculate about that.

My jeep (#88209) had a leather boot. It was dirty, pretty crusty and paint stained. I put it in the washing machine, when it had dried I scraped the paint off with a craft knife, and then brought the nap up a little with a stiff brush. It still looks good to me! You can see the re-used boot about half way down page 4:
