Mike and Ellen; I will be rolling in Thursday sometime.  Last weekend I spent going throught a checklist (this year, that included checking lug nut torque).  And that list of things (to buy and fix) that I made at the end of last year's event ....   well I did buy a few of the items....

See you soon, very much looking forward to it!

John,
We only have two official meal functions.  Like was mentioned above, Friday night we all go out to eat together to Coyote Cantina.  Good Mexican, Good American, full bar.  Then on Saturday evening we do a potluck, centered around our Elk Chili.  We always have coffee or tea in the morning, and barley-pop in the afteroon.  We have had folks organize impromptu dinners during the week and that has been fun.  If Carol would like to do something like that we will support it.

I just rechecked our weather for the week, and the chance of rain is decreasing every day.  This Sunday is the highest potential with only about 20%.  The rest of the week looks great.  Night temps in the 40's and day temps in the 70's every day.  Lots of sunshine too!

Surgery on the fuel system for the Blue Mule was successful.  I relocated the electric fuel pump to the frame below the tank, and now I'm getting a good strong stream of fuel all over me when I forget to connect the line to the carb!!   I've solved my "air in the fuel line" problem and the Blue Mule is ready to take the lead in another Fall Color Tour!!

I wanted to remind everyone to bring an FRS radio with you if you have one.  That is what we will use to talk within the convoy as we travel about.  So if you have one at home, bring it with you.  If you don't know how to set it up for different frequencies, we'll get that figured out here.  Thanks everyone.  It will help everyone keep in contact and stay informed about events along the trail.
