So my 47 had a SBC 283 in it when I bought it and it ran. I am in the process of re wiring the whole jeep and want to run the engine, it's been 7 or 8 years since it has run.
My question to all you guru's is
What is the minimum wiring to start it? Anyone got a diagram? Thanks guys, as always you are the best! Edited by Zuma58 - 20 Dec. 2014 at 8:49am |

Neg to the engine, pos. to the starter button starter button to the starter terminal. These are #2 cables. Then pos to the coil through some sort of switch ahead of it so you can shut it off. wire from coil to distributer points. Then plug wires to the spark plugs Hope this helps
