Louie Larson was giving me a hard time about my upper radiator hose clamps not being original, so I went and seen Harry Sheets and acquired a nice patina set of originals. This tough group then started giving the business about letting out a little of the vintage antifreeze...

The show was great. I think I counted around 50 jeeps and 10 or 11 Kaisers. If you look through the photos, you will see several new jeeps from the area so we have expanded our awareness. I was pretty busy Saturday so I did not see everyone who was working but I'd like to take time to give thanks to Monica, Sue, and Darlene for helping out with registration. No matter where the reunion is, spring or fall, they are there in a servants role so thank you!
The Spring Reunion committee consists of several members and advisers but the core is Dennis Caraway, Bill Norris, Kevin Banonis, Art Contoni, Bob and Mindy Christy, and myself. Usually we meet throughout the year weekly, if not daily through email. We agree on many aspects of how the reunion is put on but not always. Through it all, we love and appreciate each other. Each of us has our own ideas and preferences but I can genuinely say that each member truly wants to do what is best for the friends of the Willys Reunion. We don't have officers and don't need them but Bob has been our unofficial President and Mindy is the 1st lady. It was not as easy for them having the reunion in Effingham, but it did not stop them from doing more work than I could imagine. Thanks again everyone for a great weekend! Hope to see you this August in Columbia, MO.
