Hi everyone just purchased my 1948 and while doing research I came across the forum, Not sure if I am in the right spot for an introduction but wanted to say hello and thanks to everyone on the forum for sharing the info and knowledge. I am hoping to do a few things to mine and will need plenty of advice here is a photo of mine. Thanks Ricky! (Massachusetts)

Looks like a CJ-2A that has been painted up to be like a military model. More photos of the front and serial numbers would help identify what you have. Possibly the serial number metal tag still exists on the right hand firewall of the engine compartment or a frame metal tag with the serial number possibly on the outside of the left hand front frame horn just behind the bumper. A true 1948 model would put it between serial number 148459 and 222581.
I can see from the photo that it does have a 2A windshield. It is definitely a 2A tub. Looks to have Dana 41 rear axle. If it runs you have a winner...
