Replaced bendix. Checked brushes and armiture. Replaced bushing in bell housing. All new wires and Connectors. Bendix still kicking out. Out of ideas any suggestions?

If you have the end plate on (the brush end) wrong, the starter will run backwards and the bendix will not kick in. Ask me how I know.

Figured better safe than sorry. Ordered new flywheel ring and clutch pilot tool shouldn't be too hard to pull motor and change ring
