What I meant to say was Louisville, KY. They have a hotel and conference center on the Indiana side of the river.

One is the hotel which books up for the Indy 500 also, and second we are getting sorta close in time and location to the Hueston Woods event which makes it not fair to make people decide on one over the other, plus it puts all of the shows in one location.

Did I miss something in your post???

Indy and Bowling Green are nearly 4 hrs apart from each other - their hotels book up for the 500???

Our dates have only changed once the entire time I have been going to the Spring Reunion but never conflicted with HW except the first year they had their event which we all know what that was about.

plus it puts all of the shows in one location???

Hotel managers in Terre Haute say not an issue with Indy 500 crowd for our weekend. Holiday Inn and Marriott Springhill Suites share a same parking lot. So plenty of parking. There is also a large paved parking area for trucks and trailers. The Holiday Inn is currently shutdown for a complete makeover with a Longhorn Steakhouse attached to it. It does have a banquet facility and plans to reopen in November. Indoor shopping mall is across the street. Other hotels and many places to eat are within eyesight. Hotel is located next to I-70 and US-41 , so easy in and out access. They have hosted a similar Model T reunion and Harley Davidson motorcycle gathering recently.

Let me look into Terre Haute. I was looking at Columbus Indiana too.

Well just to keep Ohio in the discussion for you guys, is there a reason the Cinnci area is not in the running? Just curious.

Are these things invite only? I'm new to the Willys world - but looking to participate, and maybe swap parts, see some rebuilds, hear stories, etc.
As always: thank you.

No, this open to all and is similar to a Car Show but without trophies, but we have the swap meet vendors and an all around good time talking to one another. I would encourage you to attend the Spring or the upcoming Fall Willys Reunion. I guarantee you will like it.

Lonnie and I have been reading and discussing comments made here concerning the reunion the past several weeks. We have been faithful attendees and participants since Spring 2005 and have thoroughly enjoyed meeting all you jeep lovers and making some of the best friends anyone could ever ask for. We will try our best to continue attending and bringing a jeep along with us. All you know this is a passion for Lonnie and he loves nothing better than visiting and discussing anything involving a CJ2A.

Since starting dialysis last August, we are limited on hours on the road and his having to sit so long on trips. We will be unable to make a show as far away as Hudson. We would have to pass on that show.

We wanted to bring the show to Cave City, KY, located right of I-65 when the show was moved to Mason, OH. All the leg work had been done, Motels, Convention Center(registration and dining room, parking lot with covered shelter, Friday night pig roast cookout with Arthur Hatfield and Buck Creek performing, 24 hour security, and a jeep drive through the Mammoth Cave National Park. My entire family, several friends and local enforcement had volunteered to help. We approached Dennis Carraway with our proposal for this show. He felt this might be something to think about down the road. Alas, it never came to pass. We still feel this would make a great location for a future show, as well as here in Bowling Green, KY. There is so much to offer here and this venue is an excellent location for a show. We would be more than willing to help in any way if a show was ever brought to this area. Lonnie has always felt we needed to have a better location for TN, GA, AL and MS jeep lovers to be able to attend. We have always felt the show needs to be moved around to a new location every couple of years.

These are just our thoughts!

We've already picked a new location. As soon as it's all finalized it will be announced. It's not Bowling Green or Hudson.

Ahh hell, I'll show up pretty much wherever the show is. Hudson is about as far as I am comfortable going. An outside cookout is a cool idea and a dinner speaker to me is optional mostly dependent on the quality of the topic and/or speaker. I like bringing my jeep and fully intend to continue doing so. I'll sell parts when I have some to get rid of. I think instead of dealing with speakers at the banquet it might be more interesting to seek out more technical discussions or DIY demonstrations. A lot of our members here are very knowledgable and I know that I learn best when I can see it done. I think we all take for granted the know-how that we possess and how valuable that knowledge would be to others.
