On the jk forum there is a post that's titled, "what was done to your jk this week". we should have a "what was done to your flatty this week?"

Nice work Mike, doesn't seem like the thinner metal gave you any trouble.

thanks guys my boss was pleased as well. he didn't expect it too look as good as it does. that was nice comming from him because he's been welding and fabing as long as i've been alive. i just took my time and paied attention. today i removed the pasenger side lower cowl and side step area. i used a replacement i got from krage, (www.jeepdoc.com ) those arn't just simply remove & replace. that took a bit more time and a few more cut off wheels, lol.
roberto, yes the frame was broken at some point. i was worried about it being bent but found it to be w/in willys tollarences. i cut the pasenger side frame off and rewelded it straight. i'll be buying uglyjeep's box sections for the fron end and that will complete the frame work. i'll have more pics of the work on the frame by this weekend.
i got to work about 5:30am. so i punched out at 2pm. thats when i did the side pannel. after that i took it to a body shop accross the street from my shop. he's blasting the tub, grill, fenders, & tail gate. my blaster sucks so i gave in and gave it to him. tomorrow i'll have those pics of a nice grey tub ready for more welding w/ no rust splater.... OUCH!
i'm going to start a post, "what happened to your flatty this week". this way if you guys and gal that don't post to your albums or blog you can show off here.
thanks again for the kind words
