Who has put in different seats from the originals something a bit more comfy and possibly with seat belts. There is not a lot of room for new seats. Looking for some low cost suggestions

You don't need to change seats to put in seat belts. Dad put seat belts in my Jeep in the early 60's

Beebee here,
I need seats too and not going for traditional. I heard they are not so comfy. I was thinking of captains chairs for boats Like these? http://www.walmart.com/ip/23591174?wmlspartner=wlpa&adid=22222222228017312831&wmlspartner=wmtlabs&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=m&wl3=40970024432&wl4=pla-78913199912&wl5=9016265&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=8175035&wl11=online&wl12=23591174&wl13=&veh=sem |

I had a 3A a few years back that I had rattlecanned flat tan that needed seats. After deciding I'd rather not go original, I just happened to walk into an outdoor sport goods type store at just the right time.
There in the front door was a big display of Bass boat seats in woodlands camouflage pattern ... ON SALE. I want to say I gave $49 each for two seats. After mounting them I wouldn't have traded them for new original seats if someone had offered. They looked just right and were very comfortable . Very similar to the ones at the bottom of the page in your link except in a camp pattern. I say go for it ! |

I have a pair of BMW seats on homemade frames with sliders. Beware that you need more clearance behind the seats and would have to notch your wheel houses.I'm open to trading for factory seats.
You can see pics in my build thread: There are also these low-back buckets from Smittybilt: Edited by LesBerg - 07 Aug. 2016 at 7:21am |

This may work for you, I made my seats from some old chairs and some frames to seat them on. They are not adjustable but I set them up for me. and they seem to be work alright, here are a few photo to show you what I did.
