Hosting Willys Garage sale

Bummer.... heading north to Michigan with my CJ7 to do some snow wheeling. Passing through Toledo on Thursday and home-bound Sunday.

Man, I think that is a great idea......wish it happened closer to me, but it is a really good idea.

FYI:  This is the Willys Overland , Inc. location and the same party that posted the MASSIVE SALE notice and photos on the 12th.

They were predicting 3-7 inches of snow starting at noon. By 9:00 we already had 8 inches so I decided not to make the trip.

Was it just you and Trevor or was there a few people there?

I got there late. Couple of other guys was looking also. I was the tall guy.

I had so much fun. I was the kid walking around for 4 hours making a pile of parts on that cart The guys working there handed me a flashlight and sent me on my way; it was like heaven on earth rummaging through everything. Good talking to everyone, especially the guy who works in Jeep marketing, I've been bragging about that.

For those who want to know what's there: it's a decent size warehouse with 1/3 new parts and 2/3 used or NOS I believe. Everything from gauges to fire extinguisher mounts. You could build a fleet of Jeeps from the amount of parts. I ended up with a bunch of miscellaneous little pieces that I got a great deal on. Of course they showed me an upstails and I ended up picking out a repro MB grille, an NOS MB fender, and a repro CJ fender that got a little beat up in shipping. As if that wasn't enough I got to go in the shipping container outside where a row of hoods and grilles lied, and I got what we believe is an NOS MB hood. The employees were great and I enjoyed talking to them. I ended up going through all my cash and had to find an atm down the road to get more! And I used giftcards so I could afford gas and lunch on my way home hahaha. You aren't going to get prices like this ever again... act quick.

im so glad everyone had a good experience. joe, i am setting most of the prices and on the prices jay wants i have influence on. we will be open on saturday the 28th from 9am until.....     stretch, it was easy to figure out who you were by the sreen name. if you ask the folks from last weeks crowd we negotiated on prices and were willing to deal. it was great getting to meet everyone, and nick, you sir had the largest pile of the day! its working better at the present moment to do the sale this way because i actually still found things i didnt know i had. and rjeep1945 a am affiliated with willys overland and did post the pictures, not trying to defraud anyone. even if you want a good meet n greet, i hope to get some jeep people to just stop in and look.   someone was also looking for speedo cables (nick maybe) i found over 100 new old stock cables and liners today. all of course arent for dana 18s.    So come on out this saturday!  we have orig rebuildable vac wiper pumps and carters too!!

My in-laws are up in north west Ohio, I need to make a trip next time you have a sale, plenty of little odds and ends I need!

Yup, that was me. I'll try to make it up there on a saturday if I can. A good chunk of mine this time of year are spent working, or getting posters and fliers out for the show.
