There is a picture of a Bantam trailer with a stincel on the rear tail gate.  Was it common to have the logo painted on the tail gate of the trailers?

The early ones had it on the tailgate (as in the picture you linked) the later ones used a different style below the tailgate http://www.thecj2apage.com/forums/t3c_topic9361_page2.html (2nd post from the top)

Gale, do you have the artwork in a vector format that I might have to have a stencil made?

Thanks,

My trailer is SN 2525 - it had block lettering versus italics:

Thanks,

I ordered both a stencil and vinyl letters (in case the stencil didn't work) from Frank at Sanborn Signcrafters.  $5 each including shipping in February.  Here's his contact info:

IIRC he'll do the 4x4 tailgate stencil or vinyl also.

I got mine from Frank as well. Big smile (I'd forgotten about the 3rd option, not sure of the timeline on what was used when, I think I had it figured out at the point where I needed to put the proper one on mine, but then I promptly forgot everything, getting old is a bitchLOL)

Thanks you for all your help.   Plans are to paint here the 1st weekend of August.  I will post pictures when I get it done.  Decedided to paint the trailer the same color my CJ3B would have been.  I currently have the Jeep wrapped with cammo.

If that is still the correct price Frank is dirt cheap...normally for a custom vectored decal like that just the artwork charge would be at least double. Of course when you have done the vectoring once  and do more decals the price goes down.
For some reason my neighbors think I work for American Pickers, Jeep edition. I don't know why..;-)

P8106jr,
Let us know what you find out from Frank.  I was going to contact him about a large Bantam decal or stencil for my early trailer.
Can you post pictures of your trailer?

I have been traveling this week and while sitting around in a hotel I vectorized the picture to best of my abilty.   uploads/2808/Bantam_Trailer_Stencil.pdf  Best I can tell the original stencil was 14 to 15" wide.  I sell the sign making equipment  and supplies that cut the vinyl.  May have to use the file for a demo.   Looking for a couple Reflectors. I like to horse trade!  You should be able to take the PDF to most local sign shops and the can make you a decal or stencil.  I have no idea what year model my trailer is, so I will probably use the bigger one.  If somebody can get me a close up of the smaller logo on the bottom, I will be more than happy to vecotrize and post it.

If you can come up with the different files in pdf, I can post them on the web page in the center under stencils for all to share.

Got to love the expertience that has showed up on the 2A page in the last couple years.

Just email them to me and I'll get them updated to thebantamt3c page.

Art, what format do you want them in?   For people to be able to take them to a sign shop they need to be in a vector format.  EPS & PDF are the most common.   If send them to you as a jepg or tiff for posting.  They can't be used with out being revectorized.  If you want I can post them on the Houston area Flat Fenders website and you can link them to it.
Let me know.  I am going to get the smaller one done this week.

Question, on the main website there is a round red Bantam logo in the upper right.  What would it had been used for?

Art, here are the 3 jepgs of the three logos I have vectorized.  I will wait to post the line art ones until I hear back from you.
