CJ2Aers: This isn't really a Willys question but recently I saw a information sheet or poster on the dangers of pto shafts. It included facts about how fast they turned, how many feet of shoelace  or pant leg could be wraped around in a second and other frightening information. Has anyone seen this or know where to find this? I must not be using the right key words. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Gary.

Lots of farm accidents happen using moving drive shafts.  If anything catches it will do damage and best to stay clear.  I never heard of anyone getting hurt from a Jeep PTO but they are not used as much as a regular tractor.  The PTO gear box shield is about the only safety feature I have ever seen on a Willys Jeep.

Pto driven equipment is very dangerous.  It only takes a split second to cause alot of damage.  A neighbor to the farm had a son that lost an arm in a PTO accident.  I know of several customers we have at the John Deere store here that are missing fingers from baler chain and saw accidents.

A PTO Shield is a very important part in order to avoid any damage.
Cheers.
