I've heard of guys drilling holes in hockey pucks and using them for spacers.

Stan,
I think people do that to lift the tub. In this case I am lowing the transmission cross member. Lowering the transmission cross member is a potentially ugly thing because lots of things move down in the back and up in the front. I am currently in denial about the up in the front - Will the fan now hit the shroud? Down in the back - what will that do to the clutch linkage. Edited by Stev - 24 Apr. 2017 at 4:22pm |

I lowered my cross member in my 3b 1" when I did a t-18 swap. I also moved the clutch pivot cross bar down the same amount and re drilled the frame for the two mounting bolts. It worked great.

Moving the transmission cross member down 1 inch to accommodate the Ramsey Twin Stick PTO appears to have little noticeable change in the fans blades relation to the fan shroud. It still has at least 1 inch of clearance all the way around.
