Military trailer or earlier civilian? I see it has four tie downs on the side and no stake pockets.

Post more pictures will help. Military trailers had a handbrake on the front passenger side frame. Also would have had four holes for the data plate. No tailgate ...floor drain in passenger side rear.

It could be a SPEN but hard to tell from that picture. I agree, more detail pictures please...front and rear would definitely help ID it.
Thanks!

I would say the Republic Steel channel was a replacement piece by the previous owner. Nice WWII trailer. Any pictures of the data plate area you can show. I would restore as a WWII trailer, makes it much more valuable.

ok I am in it for $400.00, how much is a restored WW2 trailer worth before I put a pile of money into it. I have really no intention of selling it, but do not really want to invest more than it is worth. I know that the buyer determines the market but ball park?

Hoosier:
Just my 2 cents worth. I was in that same predicament when I did my restoration but once I started there was no turning back and $2500 dollars later worth of materials, parts and labor my trailer looks awesome. You have, what looks like, a WWII trailer. Don't know what your budget looks like for it but I would spend some money restoring her. It would definitely bring the value up if you choose to sell her at a later point. Up to you. But I know that particular trailer would look awesome with some combat rims on and some NDT's to boot. Good luck and keep us posted....cheers!!!! Jr.
