Mike, the Solex carburetors on my British cars and motorcycles had some weird, hard to find, Whitworth or British Standard, size inlet banjo fittings. They were from the 50s, 60s, and the early 70s. I do not know what they were in the 40s though.
I am sorry that I can not be of more help. Scoutpilot, a little help here, Please!!, TIA, Cpt Logger. |

the model of Solex on jeeps. Came on a Porsche 356 fitting is probably metric. You could look at a 356 site

Well, what else can I say. The Solex is not a good fit for the L134. Start saving for a WO.

At least you got a response. Not a very good one fromCarlsjeep. Not all members are like that. I ask weeks ago about how to idnetify a engine and got no response. Most of these guys are great but I have also received responses like you have. Good luck with your question. I am sure someone will give you the correct answer. F.T.S.

Mike, I am not sure but I think the Hotchkiss, M201, French made under license used the Solex. Check out g503 message forums. I have used one for about ten years and it still does very well. I saw a Solex on a M201 at a MVPA show last year. G503 has a section devoted to the M201.
Good luck. |

It is a metric banjo. I can't recall what size it is exactly, but on the ones I've delt with, I just took the banjo fitting to Napa and found a fitting to adapt it to the 1/4" inverted flare fuel line that is used.
I hope this helps! If not, just ignore!! |

Mike, I asked around here with folks that have the same setup that you have. It looks like it is metric.
Listen to what Scoutpilot has to say. He is the carburetor Guru! Scoutpilot, Thanks for the help. Cpt Logger |

I believe its 12m x125. ??-? Could be wrong - often am. I just took the top off and tapped it for 1/8" pipe and was done with it. Carb works great for me - so far. Watch your press going to the carb - no more than 2 psi I have heard. Helps if you have a weak fuel pump ( no press regulator needed). My carb ran funny after warm up - thought it was to high psi. It was not - just needed a slight adjustment. |

Thanks everyone. Once I can get down to work on it I will try everything listed. Will try that 12x125 fitting.

That idea of tapping it for 1/8" pipethread might be a good idea.......lots easier to find.
