Congratulations! I think that is the first Jeep commercial featuring historic Jeeps that didn't have a Ford Pygmy or a Bantam in it by mistake!
But... It should have said "We don't make Jeeps, JPET does..."

Couldn't believe it ......I actually got a little choked up when I saw the 2a. My daughter did a double take and asked me if I was crying.........of course not! Something was in my eye.

to many jeeps, parts, and accessories to list here, but apparently enough to keep me in trouble with my wife. |

I loved the first Jeep commercial. High marks on my list. The second one was good, but not as good. Not as many old Jeeps in it as in the first one.

These commercials made me think of the "lineage conversation" started by 7slotguy in another thread.
After seeing these commercials, it's clear that Fiat and their advertising group consider the lineage to be obvious. |

No argument Mbullism. Certainly Fiat approved of the marketing company tying together "What Was"...to..."What Is".

I agree, but I really thought James Garner belonged in it too. |

Ok, I admit I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer sometimes, ok most times, but I can't for the life of my figure out why Amilia Earhart's picture was in that ad. She died in 1937- before Jeep's life time started. Can anyone smerter than me explain that one? Or is it a Bantam conspiracy?
James Garner would have been good and maybe Buster Keaton. BTW the Dorito ultrasound ad got the most laughs at my house. Bill Edited by Bill Norris - 09 Feb. 2016 at 1:02am |

You know Bill, I asked myself that question too. Maybe they were just trying to say she had the jeep "Spirit"? Not sure on that one. I though they should have had Ronald Reagan too.

They're probably ashamed to have any association with someone like that.

I think Amelia Earhart was shown because she represents a pioneer that took chances....and I think that was one of the messages they were trying to convey in the commercial...that 'renegades' (no pun intended) drive Jeeps....and FWIW, I agree that the addition of Ronald Reagan would have made it even better.
