I have been told that the US Navy used the CJ2A. Does anyone know if this is true, and if so, are there any photos out there of a CJ2A in the Navy paint/numbering setup. Thanks,

I have not seen any information about US Navy CJ-2As although it is certainly possible. The Navy did purchase a group of CJ-3As and also DJ-3As. Here is the closest thing I could find to Navy CJ-2As from the 8-13-46 Toledo Times...

So Bob ,quite possibily,these 200 cj-2a jeeps were the first orders post war,pre dating the CJV-35/u models of 1950?

The US Military purchased many vehicles for non-tactical roles and it seems like those 2As were such an order.

A CJ-V35/U was more of a tactical vehicle, although it was based on the CJ-3A. Here is an article from The Lima News, May 1, 1950.....
