THIS is what we should be interested in, not the doors.

I know a guy that cuts the entrance sides to the bottom because he is paralized from waist down.  As far as the stretch is concerned, I don't have a clue.

Some more pictures would be great. Especially the dash.

Also does it have a glove box? Does the grill have hinges on the bottom?

The only older jeep with a factory long wheelbase is a CJ6, as far as I know.

i havent been able to get up there to see it in person. he told me there is no id plates anywhere and it does have hinges on the grille. but he also said it came with an extra grille so i dont know if someone swapped it off at some point. no glove box. he also mentioned the battery was under the passenger seat. seats were stolen out of it. tire carrier mounts to the passenger side behind the wheel well.

its official....frankenjeep!!

i didnt take any pics b/c it just wasnt worth it. i found the frame tag which had cj2a #11869.  the frame extended, and the body of course too. hack job on everything and a plywood rear floor. if it were done halfway decently, i would of bought it.

i just came across something similar. Flat, open rockers, extended frame and rearend. Guy told me it came from a fire dept. I could see how it could've been a brush fire truck or something like that.

Saw a pic of a streched wheelbase M38 in four wheeler a couple of months ago, they said it was used as an ambulance think it was called somethinging like MB-C, or something close.  It was one of their autopsy articles about miltiary jeeps.

My bad it was a MC-A from 1955 and it was in Jp Magazine.

If you are interested in an ambulance, I have a M-170 I am thinking about selling.  That can be described as an M38A1 (CJ5 style) with a stretched body and chassis.
