Looking for the bracket (or hook) that is bolted to the dash that your windshield hold down clamp hooks to. Mine is bent or something so that it will not tighten up and the clamp keeps slipping off. Rough roads shake it loose. Don't need the whole clamp, just the bracket on the dash. A nice rusty, errr I mean classically aged one off your junk tub would work great.

Could it be just needing adjusted? They are made for some adjustment with elongated holes. Jim

I've been a little hesitant to attempt to adjust. Don't think those fasteners have been turned for 68 years. I'll get out the PB Blaster and see if I can not break anything.

Stan, I've got a junk tub that still has those on it. I'll cut one out and you can work the bolts out. PM me your mailing address and I'll get it headed your way. Bruce

The rear fastener is not a nut, but a backing plate. The plate has 'teeth' on it to hold under bolt pressure.
If you need one of the FH machine screws, let me know by PM.
