The Old CJ2A Page Message Archive

Please see Questions and Answers for some topics that frequently appear on this board. As you can see, this board loads rather slowly. If you are posting something for sale, please remember to include your location since someone who might otherwise be interested might not be able to use a part or a vehicle that is too far away. Posting your location when you're selling something that needs to be hauled will save everyone's time (and reduce the number of posts on this already too-slow message board). Thanks.

The reproduction inner frames will need a little work to fit properly. The overall frame dimensions are correct. The problem is with the curved bend at the top where the inner frame slides down into the outer frame. This curve is incorrect. As you try to close the inner frame, it will bind and not close.

I used a set of body panel vise-grips to give it more bend. It takes some time, a good eye, and some patience, but it can be done.

MD Juan has supposedly redesigned his tooling for this bend. You can ask some vendors if these new inners are now in stock. My guess is if you bought one now it would be the old design.
