Thanks in advance; converting a 1945 MB to 12 volt.  We need a resistor to step down the voltage to the fuel gauge.  Does anyone know where to buy the specific resistor to do this, and the ID brand and part number for such a resistor?  Again, thanks in advance !!!

I've had the same problem. Finally the solution is excellent:use Arduino
Mini Step Down Buck Power Module 3A DC 5-23 to DC 1-17. Dimensions 17x11x3,8mm. efficiency 96%, minimal heat. It can be mounted directly into the fuel gauge. The meter then operates in the 4.5 - 24V range. I can send some photos And more information if you need to yet.

Found this on epay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Gauge-Voltage-Reducer-12-volts-to-6-volts-Oil-Gas-Temp-Gauges-1-UNIT-RUNS-ALL-3A/282987865852?hash=item41e36426fc:g:FvEAAOSw0T9cybVX. Hope the link works. Look under “runtz 6v”.  Single resistors available.   Good luck.  Mike
