Well he finally figured out his clutch was not releasing and got to take his first test drive.  Now he is waiting on a few parts to come in and for the tub, fenders and hood to get finished.

It appears progress is being made!  The weather in KY was beautiful this weekend and the PeePawā€™s crew went out Monday afternoon for a shakedown ride. All performed admirably!

Photo below is partially censored at Steveā€™s request. He has money on the line and doesnā€™t want to divulge too much. He has a few things to button up, but he is driving a Jeep with a body on it!

Glad Troy owned up to having the Dean of the ā€œCollege of Jeep Knowledgeā€ (Cheap Jeep) as a source of reference and guidance all weekend. If he hadnā€™t have fessed up, I was gonna tell on him!

Getting closer!

Greg

Troy said I have to put my ten dollars in as well, so here it is.Smile  I'm hoping to get it all together pretty soon and get a little run time on it before the ride.  Hopefully it will make it thru the weekend.  LOL

Help needed-----I need a good set of bullet light housings. ---

I am also in need of an early, operational 46' horn. To my understanding it will have a short bell on the output side. It will mount to my bracket on the fire wall.

Hey Hollywood!!! You can't run the Surry in the $10 dollar fund raiser. Must be your own jeep not my leftovers from last years. I have already done the mechanic work on that one!

Progress continues on Steveā€™s Willymakeit entry. Once the brake light and taillight is wired, he will be almost ā€œlegalā€! Some might comment on the fact that someone else is doing the wiring, we prefer to think of it as ā€œPlaying to our strengthsā€

Troy,
Are you guys going to "pre-run" the trails Thursday?  If so Taylor and I would love to bring my Gladiator and ride along.  (we are still bringing the 3A)  What time would you be leaving...If you were going?  I have a winch in case the boys get stuck again....

Al usually gets here around 10am. We try to finish up the day and if we have time we take a ride. It all depends on the work load. We may or may not take a ride. I lean toward yes we will after mid day.

Checked in with Al and Marilynn via text today. All is good and they plan on coming to KY a day or two early. Wally is still on the fence, but seems to be leaning our direction.
Took the 48 (Roscoe) for a short run today to check the deer (uh, I mean squirrel) feeder. Started organizing the camper. Going to do a tire swap next weekend on Steveā€™s ride. Just a few more little details and weā€™ll be ready to roll. We do plan on invading Troyā€™s place Thursday afternoon. And do plan on riding, even if it is just into Tompkinsville for a Sonic Coney and Coke!
