None of the clips I've seen have any spring to them.  I've had to bend them in to have them hold, but since it's not spring steel that works (analogous to bending a cotter pin).

i dont think these pre-bent brake lines are very accurate to the oem ones unless im doing it wrong.

also has anyone bought crown auto axle u-joints? i bought a set of four for my front axle and they dont line up with the bottom bracket holes for the shock mount. i mean i can get them in by bending the metal but is that normal?

its been awhile since I've done alot to the jeep.
bought a new house and wife is in collage but i ordered a bunch of parts last week and plan on getting the project going again

list i just bought are:
steering drag link repair kit
all the tie rods
e brake cable
windshield weather-strip
bug screen( for cj5 im retro fitting)
blinker switch
electric wiper kit
fuel tank sending unit
weld on light bar/bull bar
4 pro comp shocks
deestone d502 tires
a sweet tshirt lol

still in the process of talking to an European jeep parts place on getting a hood mounted spare tire bracket shipped to me. waiting on a shipping quote

both axles are rebuilt and installed
carb rebuilt a 2nd time
driveshafts rebuilt
all new brake lines cylinders and master
ditched the electric fuel pump and added an mechanical pump
re did some wiring

also adding a rear drawer setup for camping or "overlanding" as people call it nowadays
i have plans made for that to be build in the coming weeks

here's a few pics of my kid helping last weekend

bar is being welded sometime this week. ( no it doesn't lay flat)

welding these to the backside of the o.e bumper for my hella fog lights

ordered tires and shocks awhile back.

after everything is put on ill put a few miles on it then its off to paint.
unsure of color yet thinking of a modern blue with silver top and silver wheels. base coat clear

i will add more pics when stuff gets insatlled

You ever drive it around town? My dad mentioned seeing a grey CJ2A while he was out running errands. Wonder if that was you.
