Glad I wasn't driving down I-70 yesterday!  Must have been some strong winds! I saw on the news multiple semi's flipped in far western Kansas too!

That would have been like a bomb if it hit a car!...ouch!

She can dance a cajun rhythm....jump like a Willy's in four wheel drive...("Sugar Magnolia")

Yikes is right. I've never experienced hail like that. Has to be totally devastating.

to many jeeps, parts, and accessories to list here, but apparently enough to keep me in trouble with my wife.

Automakers probably like hailstorms like that.  Roofers, too.  Not insurance companies...  Unhappy
There's a reason it's called Ol' Unreliable

hey Greaser...it's been awhile!  We live in the Kansas county that had all the trucks blown over....there were about ten according to reports We heard that I-70 was a parking lot for a 15 mile stretch. We didn't have hail as large as the Colorado photo but what hail we did have was driven horizontally by an 80 mph wind....with a repeat performance storm a short 4 days later.

Our area lost a lot of trees and one local church had major roof and water damage. Our steel siding took some hits but was partially saved by the '81 CJ-5 and '47  2a running interference!  The morning after the storm I discovered that the hardtop door on the '47 had at sometime blown open and the passenger seat frame was on the ground next to the Jeep...the door had latched itself shut again and the seat hit the dryer vent on the house, causing no damage to the siding.....explain that one. I gladly replaced an 8 dollar plastic vent! The CJ 5 suffered a new hole in one side window and both probably acquired a few new dents on their aged and ailing bodies.

A couple of old-timers (hey wait...I resemble that description] here say it's the worst wind storm they ever experienced. It was a sustained high wind which is highly unusual for here. My insurance man said his truck, parked in the driveway on the side of his house, was hit by a trampoline. He never saw the trampoline....has no idea where it came from....or where it ended up. He said the only evidence is the pole shaped dent in his door and the spring shaped impressions surrounding the dent.

Never a dull moment here on the High Plains....more storms coming this week.

People who reside in hurricane-prone areas now have my utmost respect...

Take care buddy, Tim D
