Hello Friends,

I went to this amazing estate sale this weekend, what a thrill! Check out the pics below:

Anyway, I picked up some antique wrenchs marked Ford and Cadillac.. Anyone here collect vintage tools that may be interested in them?

It was quite overwhelming and a bit sad to be rummaging through this gentleman's life long collection. I did my best to be respectful, however, it was an uneasy feeling. People were running through the house like drunken fools.... After an hour or two I just had to get out of there.

I was able to pic up a very large bin of taps and dies (every size you have ever dreamed of), Jerry Can mount, Handcuffs from 1912, carter fuel filters, sparton horn, and some other small tools I just found interesting.

Hope you all had a good weekend,
Geoff

Looked like he collected everything! I would have had to check out all of the die-cast collection.

Thats a good one I get to a big shop tool farm estate sale maybe twice a month until we start working Saturdays in the summer. Granted that one looks exceptional.

...and he even has a Jeep toolbox!    That reminds me of the hardware store of my childhood....everything imaginable, and only one or two guys knew where all of it was!  The auction company will absolutely earn their money on that one!!

I love old tools and would have been at that sale had I seen it. But then again, when you mentioned old handcuffs, you had my attention. What else would an old cop collect!!!!

Here's a couple pics of the wrenches and the taps.... I got the old tool box too, my son enjoyed helping me sort all the various sizes... When we purchased they were just tossed in a big bin... I think he got some of my OCD Shocked

Wow, how many bandsaws did that guy have?  How many anvils??  The framed WWII German military posters make me wonder about him, though...
There's a reason it's called Ol' Unreliable
