I had this gem follow me home just the other day.. I was only 2 miles from it all these years and never knew it. It was owned by a quaker school in PA somewhere earlier in its life, then purchased by a coach, then by me. Follow the pic to the album, there are shots of what I think may be original chains, light , and hitch there..Comments about the trailer appreciated...

It had combat rims with what may be original tires...

Chains might be originals??

and this may be an Arrow??

ther are a couple more pics..Can anyone pin down the date this would have been made??

Bill,

Nice find - missing the side support tubes in the rear and the tail gate but I'd say a very nice 45 or very early 46 would be my guess. That does appear to be the arrow lamp.

Art if you can get to the album, the right support tube is still there.. If you need any pics for the  database you can get them there...or do you need me to email them to you?

I really didn't want to let go of the trailer I had at the Reunion but this makes up for it.

Bill,

That is a nice looking trailer.

What was it you were saying about cleaning out that 16 year old collection?  Wink  I guess there is no cure.

Hi Bill:

Well, you obviously had your Pied Piper flute in good tune when you drove by that trailer.  Wink   It's a very nice find. The chains look original and correct and the body tub with its four rope ties along each side is a leftover military tub converted for civilian use.

Now, I know you have plenty of time of your hands between moving stuff from state to state, but if you find yourself with nothing more exciting to do, Chuck L. and I are both very interested in learning what chassis number is stamped underneath the left front spring hanger.   My early T3-C is like yours but without its data tag, so I don't know my correct serial number.  Cry   Knowing your chassis number may help me estimate a reasonable serial number for my T3-C.  Thanks!  Smile

I'll try tomorrow for you guys, Fred. Lucky for you I got my new air compressor hooked up to electricity yesterday so I can actually use power tools on the spring hanger..

Well, today was both a good and a bad day for Bantam 1259.. I was able to straighten some of the bodywork, and the taillight bracket, but the floor turned into swiss cheese at the first hammer blow.   Anyway, it looks like it's gonna take a full restoration with new floor and end panels to fix it.

While I had the trailer on its side I took this picture of the eagerly awaited ACM number.

I think the number is 150275. The only number I question is the 7, as it looks a lot like the 2. Does anyone know if the seven and two shared the same curvey upright?

Hi Bill:

I think it is a "7" because it does not have the bottom horizontal line as does the "2".  My ACM number 15131 has a "7" in it for comparison (but it was overstruck with a "1"):

Thanks for uncovering and sharing your ACM number!  Smile

To the left of the two round rust pit dots in the top of the twoyou can see the start of the two.. in person it is pretty clear. there is no horizontal line at the bottom as the metal is beveled there and the stamp could not have hit it.
