Hunt down a cast iron (military) cover for the 25....a cheap easy 'little bit' of protection for the front.
The 41 may have had them too....not up my military specs. |

what he said. Also any heavy diff cover or guard made for a D30 will fit your 25 or 27. All sorts of stuff available for a 30.
41 - you're on your own on that one. look here for options..... https://www.quadratec.com/vehicle/1945-1986-cj/armor-and-protection/differential-and-axle-protection |

There are also thick and thin versions of the Dana 25 cover. I have the thick version on my trail Jeep. If you really wanted to, you could make a 1/4" thick cover welding two of the thick covers together. The outer cover would need to have a little girding done to it but it should be workable.

What is mentioned above. You can get D30 diff guards or even a whole aftermarket D30 diff cover and they fit 25s and 27s. D44 rear you can do the same with guards or entire aftermarket covers. D41 I welded a bunch of stuff to the stock cover to beef it up on my dad's, swapping in a 44 and bolting on a cover probably would have been easier
