Now come on guys, if you're going to have a Landy, have a useful one!

But seriously, getting back to "other projects" this weekend coming sees us celebrating the 50th birthday of the MG Midget, so a lot of my time has been taken up with getting my MkI Midget ready for the trip up, and then a weeks 'pootling about' and then the trip home again...

I still have my first jeep which I bought with 34,000 miles in fall 1991

88 yj
originally was a 2.5L

over the years it now has
chevy 355 small block with Q-jet
th350 trans
dana 300 case with jb conversions 32 spline rear output and twin stick
dana 44's from 76 scout II cromoly shafts front and rear, trutrac in the rear and trac lok in the front. front knuckles cut to oem yj length, redrilled and we reversed the tie rod so it's on top of the knuckle which places it at the top of the diff.
rear disc brakes using 78 lincoln rotors with 84 seville calipers with parking brakes
front scout rotors with 77 f-150 calipers, 77 grand marquis master cylinder
3 core chevy radiator cooled with a 3.8l taurus fan hooked to DC controls pwm fan controller with override toggle.
york 210 I got from the bone yard and converted to on board air with 2.5gal onboard tank with 5 gal aux tank.
ramsey rep 8000 winch
1000 amp battery
CS144 140 amp alternator
4 tractor flood lights
home made swing out tire carrier on home made rear bumper that holds 2 jerry cans and high lift plus whatever else I can strap to it.
chevy cavalier seats on manual ford windstar sliders I fabbed to fit to the factory filp forward risers
custom flat panel dash I made with equus guages.
sport cage swap to the 92-94 model.
40mm ammo can storage boxes with speakers I made for rear wheel well storage.
450watt amp on the stereo with subwoofer behind the rear seat.
grant chrome 3 spoke steering wheel
all stainless hinges, most fasteners are stainless.

I love those old hit and miss engines Brian! It is totally amazing how the old timers could get so much work out of a 1 1/2 horse engine just by using such a big fly wheel. Really cool!
I have been looking for an old H&M for a while now. I just missed a "freebee" buy a few weeks.

I like the York set-up, I had one on my 99TJ. I would use it to air up coming off the beach, it sure beat waiting for an hour to use the coin op ait machine and it ment I could get off the beach at different trails where there was no air.
It's a nice YJ too looks like fun!

1987 YJ - She's been my daily driver since the snow melted. I've put quite a bit of work into it- replaced the dash, repainted, rewired, bedlined the interior, new bumper, etc.

Ha, well it doesn't have any wheels but it still had to be painted.
this is what I have been working on outside of the Willys.
I've done everythign without any sub-trades. In fact, I wasn't permited to start the Willys until I had the kitchen cabinets built and installed !!!

Looks like a Honda CT-90 or 110 in the background. I had a Trail 90 names Wilbur, she was my first love. I rode her everyday to high school. She's been restored by me once but since has gone to pot. Once I get some time I'll do it again.

I've been a model builder since I was a little kid, and that's what I do when not messing with the CJ.  Next Monday I'm off to Muncie IN to compete in the US National Championships with this 1/6 scale JN4D-2 Jenny.  7 ft wingspan, 10lbs and fun to fly.

I spend my time helping my oldest sone build a ferrari killer- '71 240Z race car.  Straight six stroker motor with turbo and fuel injection.

The jeep is a 45 GPW from WWII.
Then I am working on a WWII weasel '44 built by Studebaker
This is a project for my club- the MVCC soon to be followed by this one:
a 155 mm self propelled gun to restore for the Colorado National Guard.  Makes working on jeeps childs play!
