need 5:38 R&P for a '74 D-30 Frt. end diff. No Omix or Crown junk.

FYI> 5.38 for Dana 30 will be especially hard to come by in used condition.
To my knowledge th e 5.38 ratio was never a standard for any vehicles using Dana 30 axles. And so any gear sets that you do find will be aftermarket and not Dana Spicer.

Because the D-30 actually has a smaller R&P then the 25 and 27, I am looking at buying either a G2 or Yukon set up for added strength. IS IT NEEDED? probably not but I hate breaking stull so I'm inclined to pay more for peace of mind. If I can buy a used Spicer set, I will have it deep freezed " to add 40% more strength. "cryogenics" May to this process to any R&P I get. While changing out the R&P, I will also install a Spartan locker as well.

I am also looking at the G2 or Yukon r&p. I am also installing a Spartan I picked up this past weekend. A lot of similarities here.
