Restoring (frame off) a 1947 CJ-2A Willys.     Does any one have a good diagram/picture of the proper routing for the wire from the fuel sending unit to the fuel gauge, and what hardware (clips, brackets, etc) are required?  Any grounding information/data would also be helpful.  Many thanks in advance, David

The wire runs along the left side of the dash and through holes in the tub reinforcements that go from the dash to the floor then behind the reinforcement for the sill then to the tank. There is one wire clamp just in front of the reinforcement as the wire exits from under the dash.
The ground is supposed to be through the tank mounting and one of the fuel line clamps that does not have fabric under it. I added a ground wire from a sender mounting screw to the drivers seat frame.

The grounding is specifically through the rear hold down bracket (bolts to the rear bed behind the seat), Not a good ground through the mounting strap as it's supposed to have a welt strip on the inside, extra grounds ensure a good ground, I put one on mine, but then found out that the rear bracket does fine and eliminated the extra ground.

Hi everyone,
I did some search for pictures of the sender wiring routing particularly to understand where the wiring clip should go when leaving the dash. I am pretty confident with the routing itself as described above.

Thanks for you help
Chris
