I acquired my trailer from the son of the original owner. Recently, I shared some photos of the restored trailer with him (posted here:https://www.thecj2apage.com/forums/new-to-me-trailer-bantam-t3c-serial-24011_topic42731.html)

He was very excited to see the pictures and to know that his Dad's trailer had been restored to a bit of its prior glory. In return he shared some photos with me of the trailer in action back when it was nearly new. The photos show the trailer being used by his father and grandfather to transport gear and supplies for a fishing trip to Lake Nipigon in Ontario Canada in or about 1953. They unloaded the trailer from the dock onto the boat, which they lived on for a week. The photos show a glimpse into the past life of one of these great old civilian trailers. The photo of all the fish (transported home in the trailer which is in the garage) is from 1957. I think fish possession limits might have been a bit more lenient back then. LOL

I loved seeing the pictures and thought others here might enjoy them as well.

Wow . . those photos are priceless!!
It would be so great to have photos of our Jeeps and trailers in their early years.

I would not have imagined one of these trailers behind a car. LOL
