Not exactly the same setup as the OP is inquiring about, but I did not install proportioning valve on mine, seems to work fine. I have not tried to lock up on the street, but have never felt a need to require one off-road. '81 CJ-7 disc brakes in front, '75 11" drums on rear (can't remember the slave cylinder dia.), dual master cylinder. I basically did like Lesburg suggested, and tried it without a pvalve. I have no plans to install one.

I got myself an Eastwood flaring tool last year that makes it idiot proof to flare anything,which helps a lot. I think I’ll go without first and later on if I decide it’s needed I’ll put one in. Thanks for the info guys.
