I bought myself a pre-owned industrial sewing machine and made these seat covers out of a bleached canvas tarp. They were only supposed to be prototypes but they turned out good enough to use.
I've made them removable so rodents don't chew them up. I used 1.5 " thickness of reconstituted foam so that drivers who exceed optimum size can get behind the wheel.

Nice, and your adjusters blended right in. Good job!

That is exactly what I'm looking for! Would you be interested in making another set?

Steve. If I was a younger man I'd jump at the opportunity!  Nowadays I'm ticking the 'bucket list'.

I spent half my working life teaching in state schools and whilst I wasn't involved in sewing projects I was amazed at the student's ability to produce complex garments etc. I thought I'd have a go. This link was my mentor: :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VFt26lYYAkE.     (Sailrite, Making a Stadium Cushion)
I soon found out why she used large radius corners, and why you need location marks.

The machine took slightly longer to acquire on ebay as I wanted a compound feed, walking foot, industrial type, preferably Japanese.
It had to be a  local seller as they are very heavy and, at a reasonable price because I anticipated having to re-motor it with a Servo upgrade. The old clutch type drive system is far too aggressive for slow speed work.  After a couple of prototypes and the added complication of side attachment pieces, I was underway.
I hope this inspires.
