Are they supposed to be that yellow? If not, are they supposed to be more of a khaki color?

I had the Beach Boys playing whilst I made them!
I didn't want any thing military looking. A neighbor gave me remnants that were intended as practice pieces but the results were good enough to use. Yes, a little too yellow, not what I wanted, but correction can be made when all the other jobs are complete. Nearly there actually

I suppose you could dye them a different colour, but the yellow may just grow on you. Besides, you won't see the covers when you're driving, right?

Nice work !
Hats-off to individuallity on the covers. Mellow-yellow. :) And it looks like you can un-snap them for cleaning ? I have yet to figure out where to source springs and covers for my '46 2A. |

I copied the design of the MB covers which have 'poppers' to release them. I was concerned about rodents feasting on them during the winter months. I note that similar items are being offered here:

Not really an adaptation as I started from scratch. The runners are widely available on ebay... at least in the UK. CJ parts are really scarce and expensive in Blighty
