See Detroit4Fest.com for info on the September 14 Jeep Off road event at Holly Oaks Off Road Park. This place is right by my house so I bought a ticket and we're going. A ticket is $50 which is for 1 vehicle and 4 people. The event goes from 10-5 and it looks like it's at least partially sponsored by Jeep (FCA). Hopefully we won't have the only Willys there.

Had a great time here. The Willys did much better here than Silver Lake Sand Dunes. They have some hardcore rockclimbing areas, and a short stock vehicle rock crawl area. Lots of gravel hills to climb and trails to run through. They also have a water pit where you can drown your Jeep if you want to. I really enjoyed guiding people over the rocks and took a bunch of people for Willys rides. FCA was there with a bunch of prototype vehicles and they were giving Jeep rides. General RV showed up with side by sides. There were food trucks and a bunch of vendors. It was well organized and easy to get in and out of. I saw one other Willys, which was much more capable than my bone stocker. All in all a fun event and a 15 minute Willys ride from home!

I wanted to go to this, but we had a family event going on.
I've been watching the progression of Holly Oaks. It's great that we have another offroad park in MI. Steve

I agree and I think it compliments the sand dunes vs. competes with it. It's nice to have both options.
