   Hi everyone !

I wanted to post the following link for help in troubleshooting cooling system issues.   I found the following link to be most helpful in solving the quetion of whether I had a bad head gasket or some other culprit causing an overheating issues I had on a previously-unkown vehicle, and following my engine refurb.

https://troubleshootmyvehicle.com/gm/4.8L-5.3L-6.0L/bad-fan-clutch-troubleshooting-case-study-1

Please note there are 3-sections (pages) to the article.   The author mentions that the van guinnea-pig had been diagnosed by I think two other shops to have a bad head gasket.
In the end, I discovered my problem to be a faulty Fan Clutch.
And i know our early Willys do not have fan clutches, but the rest of the overheating troubleshooting pertains (ccolant flow, proper thermostat operation, etc.).

I liked the section where he singles-out the head-gasket as being OK.
