Hello,

I bought a 1947 Bantam T3-C in Feb of this year. Has a lid which I put a roof top tent on, lock-n-roll hitch, rear tailgate that opens towards driver side.
I added a wood floor with 10 d-rings in total. She has 31" tires with Toyota 6 lug pattern. Also added some push-on puck lights.
Planning to flip the axle and put the leaf springs on top of it.

So far its been a blast off-road. I tow it with a 2008 Lexus GX470 thats lifted 3" with long travel, 35" tires, and built to go just about anywhere.

Plans to add a 30 gallon fresh water tank, solar power for a fridge and charging ports a I use it for working remote sometimes. The rear swing out tailgate door has a table which is awesome for a desk.
I also carry a 30lb propane tank (for a fire pit and cooking).

I'd like to reinforce the floor and frame and eventually add an axle less suspension.

Has anyone done anything like I'm describing? Are there water tanks made to a similar shape of the tub that I can make a bracket for?

Unfortunately, I cannot add photos at the moment. Keep getting an internal error that says the error can not be displayed 🤷🏽‍♂️.

Thanks for this forum and all the info you all have provided!

Adam,
You've done an awful lot to an old trailer.  Does it still have its Serial Plate?   Don't know how much you've invested so far but know of modern trailers that look similar with most of the add-ons you mention.

The photo link doesn't work for me.

Hi Rus,
Yea, I’ve done a lot. She handles great though. No original serial plate. Colorado gave a new serial number and plate.
Try this link. Hopefully it works now: https://photos.app.goo.gl/vDg2kJvDUCkhKPwB7

That link worked!  Wow, that is a lot of modifications!  I've seen modified trailers, but you may be up near the lead of the pack.

I have read of flipping the axle to get more tire under the fenders but I'm just not familiar with a suspension system without the axle.

On a water tank shaped like the tub, I did a search on "custom water tanks" and got several returns.  Seems there's a market for that.

Thank you sir!
I got an amazing deal on it and now that I've used it a bit more, I'll be making more modifications to it. Such a strong, capable little trailer, especially with the lock-n-roll hitch.

I'll make sure to update this thread and the photo link.
