Hello, I fired up the Go Devil for the first time since fitting it this evening. It sounds fantastic!!! Idles lovely with 40 psi of oil pressure @ 140F with a steady 20 ins hg of vacuum. It lives and breaths once more!

Hi, I ran the engine again today to warm it up to re-torque the head nuts. Here is a link to hear it running.

Superb! Don't they sound as though they're ready for take-off? The video is a really good medium for seeing where things go (so that's how the oil pressure line is clamped to the body! I couldn't remember...).
Keep up the good work.

Looking Good. What is the name of the paint color?
EDIT, Duh, perhaps Harvet Tan as written under the picture? Edited by ralf - 18 Jan. 2011 at 9:07pm |

ralf, looks like the same color on my truck which I think is called "Implement Gray" in the truck line. Harvest Tan or Implement Gray or whatever name they dreamed up, I like

Johnnybravo, if that looks gray, it is time for a new monitor. Ask your daughter to check your monitor settings.

Andy that motor looks great, so just curious, are you gonna run it through that hole you had the TJ in when it's done?

I had the same thoughts or better yet, it is all Tan to me, but the OEM name was Gray.

Regarding the colour/color if you look at the photos I posted on the 14th of April last year you can see a comparison between the Harvest Tan and my matched paint. The top of the fire wall above the lip is original paint and the lower is my new paint. It was the best I could find in the UK. |
